Community Sporting Organisations

We have overwhelming response from our local sporting community to be a part of the AIS Open Day.  The following sporting groups will showcase a range of sports, games and activities, and have plenty of giveaways for kids and their parents.

Are you lucky enough to have your photo taken with some of the Canberra’s well known mascots?

Come down to the AIS Open Day and participate in the following sports:

Active After School Communities – AASC

Children can get into the spirit of the AIS Open Day by joining in with the Active After-school Communities (AASC) program of fun games and obstacle courses. Activities will be running throughout the day on the lawns outside the AIS Hub and all children are invited to come along and get active! You may even have the chance to meet one of our friendly AASC mascots - Pablo Participation, so don’t miss out! The Active After-school Communities (AASC) program is an Australian Government initiative that provides primary school children with free sport and other structured physical activity programs during the after school timeslot. No matter what  sort of ability or experience you’ve got, you can join in.
