Founded in 1981, the AIS is a world centre of excellence for the training and development of elite athletes and coaches.  It provides facilities and assistance for elite athletes, including access to world-class sports science and sports medicine services.

 

Accommodation

Please note accommodation rates have been presented in Australian Dollars (AUD) and includes taxes (GST).  Rates are valid from November 2008 and may be subject to change between now and September 2009.

You can make your own bookings with any of the accommodation providers listed below.  Alternatively you can use a travel agent of your choice.

 

Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Residence 

Stay on campus at the Australian Institute of Sport and enjoy the peace of mind knowing that you are only a short walk away from all of the Symposium facilities.

Room rates:

  • Single Room bed and breakfast: 2009 rates $65 per night (single rooms with shared bathrooms, one person per single bedroom).  
  • Self Contained Apartments may be available - please enquire.

 

Belconnen Premier Inn

The Belconnen Premier Inn is located close to the Australian Institute of Sport and is approximately 5 to 10 minutes travelling time by car.  Please note Symposium attendees must make their own transport arrangements.

Room rates:

Rates are per room for one or two people and do not include meals.  Additional people can stay (depending on room type) for an additional $25 per night.

Standard Room: $137.00
One bedroom apartment: $175.00
Two bedroom apartment: $253.00
