The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is Australia's leading national sports administration and advisory agency, and the cornerstone of a large and dynamic sports system. The ASC plays a central role in developing and operating Australian sport, administering and funding innovative programs and providing leadership, coordination and support for the sports sector.
Since its establishment in 1989, the ASC has earned an international reputation for its innovative, quality programs enhancing sports participation. The internationally renowned Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), a key component of the Commission, provides strategic leadership of high performance sport in Australia.
About the forum
The Our Sporting Future Forum 2013 will provide participants with an opportunity to learn and contribute to discussion on the future of Australia's sporting industry, with practical insights into leading strategies and current ideas that are integral to the growth of Australia's sporting success. Such discussion will include developments in technology and research, new media trends and this new thinking will allow for the building of effective strategies for building an improved national sports system.
This will happen through:
- the program — high-profile keynote speakers and presenters
- product/service providers — exhibitors from the sports industry showcasing their latest products and services
- social events — a number of networking opportunities
