Message from Australian Sports Commission CEO Simon Hollingsworth

The Australian Sports Commission and the Committee of Australian Sport and Recreation Officials take great pleasure in inviting you to attend the fifth Our Sporting Future Forum (OSF), to be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 10 – 12 April 2013.

We consider this an exciting forum that will broaden the focus on building a stronger Australian sports system. Part of this focus is to ensure increased participation and continued delivery of high quality sport. In addition, the 2013 forum will look more closely at how the smaller groups and associations develop our future sporting leaders in the early years of their development.

Leading international and Australian speakers will explore new ideas and strategies that may impact on the future of Australia’s sporting industry, particularly in terms of commercialisation. The forum will focus on generating ideas and providing practical information that can be applied to sport, with a flexible program allowing delegates to attend sessions specific to interests.

As in the past, the OSF forum will include a range of enjoyable social and networking opportunities, together with a fantastic industry exhibition that will enable delegates to see first-hand new products and services in the sports sector. Overall, OSF13 will provide you with an insight into the developments that will maintain and expand  on Australia’s sporting success.
