The 2009 Australian Sports Commission Media Awards were held in Melbourne on Thursday 3 December in Studio 3 at Crown Casino. Winners have been announced with Les Murray from SBS receiving the 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award for Contribution to Sports Journalism.

The Australian Sports Commission Media Awards celebrates analytical and insightful presentation of sport and sporting issues by journalists, broadcasters and photographers.
