In 2011, a record number of nominations were received with over 420 high quality entries from mainstream media, general news and current affairs. This supplements the excellent reporting from dedicated sport and sport affairs media and helps build the recognition and stature of the Awards.

Now in its 11th year, the ASC Media Awards is Australia’s premier sports media celebration and the only awards dedicated to recognising sports journalism, broadcasting and photography. They focus on analytical and insightful reporting and the presentation of sport and sporting issues, with the ultimate aim of fostering improved coverage of key issues within sport.

As well as recognising excellence, the ASC Media Awards provide representatives from the media with the opportunity to network among peers and senior representatives of the sports industry.
