Nominations for the 2010 Australian Sports Commission (ASC) Media Awards have closed and the finalists in 12 categories have been announced.

Over 400 high-quality nominations were received from sport and sport affairs journalists, broadcasters and photographers. The Awards also attracted non-sports media, such as news, current affairs and business media – which is recognition of the Awards’ growing profile in the industry.

Now in its ninth year, the ASC Media Awards is Australia’s premier sports media celebration and the only awards dedicated to recognising sports journalism, broadcasting and photography.

The 2010 winners will be announced at the presentation gala dinner at Doltone House (Pyrmont) in Sydney on Thursday 25 November 2010 and published on the ASC Media Awards website from 10.00am on Friday 26 November 2010.

Tickets for the presentation gala dinner are now on sale. To purchase tickets and for further information on the Awards, please visit the ASC Media Awards website.

We encourage you to share the message of the Media Awards with your colleagues and we look forward to seeing you at the presentation gala dinner!
