Our philosophy

In this section

Each day at the Cottage we focus on achieving successful outcomes for all children, families and our staff. We seek to provide a positive, safe, caring and stimulating environment in which children of all ages, genders, cultures and backgrounds feel safe, secure, happy and loved. Centre staff aim to provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that meets the needs of all families, and to offer a support system for all parents.

The Cottage is an environment that allows children to grow and develop to their fullest potential.

We encourage children to develop through hands-on experiences in which teachers guide, and ‘play’ becomes an education in itself. We believe families are children’s first and most influential teacher. Children benefit when families, educators and community work together with respect and harmony, honouring diverse family circumstances, languages and cultures.
