What we offer

In this section

The Caretaker’s Cottage Childcare Centre employs qualified staff who observe, record and plan according to each child’s individual needs. Programs are developed to support children’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual development, while encouraging independence and initiative. Portfolios are kept on each child and are available for parents to discuss with staff.

The centre also offers:

  • music and movement programs, and access to the AIS Swim School
  • balanced meals that meet children’s recommended daily nutritional needs
  • rest time to provide children with a balanced day
  • a nappy service.

The centre is open 7:45am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks a year. It is closed on public holidays and for the week between Christmas and New Year. The first working day after New Year is a pupil-free day, which staff utilise for planning and preparation. Families are not charged for this day.
