History
The AIS Alumni was established in 1999 and is currently overseen by AIS Sports Programs and ASC Corporate Communications.
The membership of the Alumni includes former AIS scholarships holders, current and former AIS coaches and current and former AIS employees. Currently the AIS Alumni supplies a biannual newsletter and updates on any othe important information or activities.
The primary aims of the AIS alumni are to provide a forum for its members to maintain their commitment to sport once they have ceased their involvement with the AIS and to encourage public support of the AIS.
In May 2004 the ASC Executive approved the formation of State Chapters in each state. This should provide members more ready access to Alumni activities including networking opportunities within the sport community.
