2011 - Luke Durbridge, Cycling
At just 20 years of age Luke Durbridge is a force to be reckoned with, both on the track and on the road. Nicknamed ‘Turbo Durbo’, Luke won gold in the U23 Individual Time Trial at the UCI Road World Championships in the Netherlands, Luke and his team-mates scorched around the track, smashing the four-minute barrier to defend their championship team pursuit title and beating the Russian team by almost four and a half seconds.
