Training and recognition
The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) recognises that there are three formal pathways to recognition as a either a Professional or Associate Career Development Practitioner under the Standard 4.3 of the CICA Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners and these include completion of:
- a Graduate Certificate endorsed by CICA;
- a Vocational Graduate Certificate endorsed by CICA; and
- an alternative pathway to professional status deemed appropriate by a CICA member association.
