Archery - Achievements

AIS scholarship holders have an impressive and improving record in international archery competition. Following are many of the highlights achieved over the past few years.
  • Ha Neul (Sky) Kim wins gold at the Goodluck Beijing Archery Test Event, defeating Chu Sian Cheng of Malaysia in the final arrow of three, single arrow shoot-offs to break a tied result (Sky 110 (T10, T10, T10), Chu Sian 110 (T10, T10, T9) - August 2007

  • Ryan Tyack and Jane Waller excel at the 2006 Junior World Outdoor Target Championships to win the male and female recurve cadet World Championships in Merida, Mexico - October 2006

  • Alexandra 'Lexie' Feeney (17) becomes the first female AIS scholar to medal internationally with silver at the European Grand Prix in Sardinia, Italy - July 2006

  • Tim Cuddihy (17) wins Olympic Bronze at the AthensOlympics, equalling the Olympic record in the semi-final and setting an Olympic Record for the 36 arrow finals with a total of 340 - August 2004

  • Tim Cuddihy wins the Junior Male Recurve World Outdoor Target Championship, David Barnes finishes 5th individually - July 2004

  • Tim Cuddihy, David Barnes and Thomas Dempsey win Bronze in the Teams event at the Junior World Outdoor Target Championships – England – July 2004.

  • David Barnes, Tim Cuddihy and Simon Fairweather defeat Turkey to win gold in the Teams event at the European Grand Prix - Turkey - July 2004.

  • David Barnes wins individual bronze at the Turkish European Grand Prix – July 2004.

  • David Barnes, Tim Cuddihy and Simon Fairweather defeat Korean World Champions to win gold in the Teams event at the European Grand Prix - Germany - June 2004.

  • David Barnes wins bronze at 42nd World Championships, Tim Cuddihy fourth - July, 2003.

  • David Barnes - Bronze Medal in the Croatia Grand Prix Archery Tournament (Senior Division) 2003.

  • David Barnes - Silver Medallist in the Turkey Grand Prix Archery Tournament (Senior Division) 2002.

  • Tim Cuddihy - Gold Medal, Junior World Championships 2002 in the Cadet Division.

  • David Barnes - Silver Medal Junior World Championships 2002 in the Cadet Division.

  • Simon Fairweather wins the Individual Olympic Gold Medal in Sydney 2000.
