AIS Basketball - Carley Mijovic

Biography

Born: August 1994
DANDENONG, VIC
Australia
Carley joins the Australian Institute of Sport as the youngest player of the 2010 team and comes from the Victorian metropolitan area. Carley is a tall, athletic, inside-outside player with a good feel and temperament for the game.  Carley has the unique ability to shoot a legitimate jump shot from the perimeter with either hand and, although 195cm tall, plays like a guard from the perimeter.  She can see and pass to the open player, shoot the 3 ball, put the ball on the floor and get to the basket.  Carley is equally comfortable on the inside where she shows an array of low post moves and ability to finish on either her left or right hand.  Carley will continue to develop her individual defensive skills, mid range game in 2011.  Carley was a member of the  Australian under-17 team in 2010 and the 2011 U19 National team in Chile that finished 4th at the world championships.
