AIS Basketball - Mirko Djeric

Mirko is in his third year as an AIS scholarship holder and comes from Sydney, NSW. He is a shooting guard who has a scorer’s mentality and can create a shot for himself off the dribble when necessary. A key focus in his development is his ability to defend similar players and also continue to work on his ball handling and passing skills. Mirko represented Australia at the 2012 Under 17 World Championships where the team won the silver medal. He has also represented Australia in the 2012 Oceania qualifying series against New Zealand and will be a candidate for the National under 19 Men’s team this year that will be competing in the Under 19 World Championships in Czech Republic in July.
