INTERNATIONAL GAMES: 2012 Australian U17 - international tournament in China; U17 Women’s FIBA World Championships (5th place); 2011 U17 FIBA Oceania Championship qualifier series (winning against New Zealand 3-0); 10 Games – AIS Vs USA College teams (winning 9-1); 2010 FIBA Oceania Tournament (Gold).
GENERAL BASKETBALL CAREER NOTES: 2012 – Captain of the U18 Victorian Metro side winning Bronze at the National Championships. Played her junior years at Diamond Valley. Represented Victoria and won national championships in 2009, 2010, 2011. Carly captained the Victorian U-16 side in 2010.
PERSONAL INFORMATION: From Eltham, Victoria. Carly lives with her Mum, Dad, little brother Grant and puppy, Tobi. Hot chips are her weakness and her favourite food is tacos. Carly would like to pursue a career in sports marketing after she completes her schooling.
COACH’S COMMENTS: Carly’s strengths include her on-court leadership skills, ability to knock down the open shot with good range, and her ability to rebound at both ends of the floor. In moving forward Carly will primarily focus on developing her physical capabilities and building on her skill set paying particular attention to her footwork, ball handling, ability to get to the basket, and mid-range jump shooting capabilities.
