Beach Volleyball Aussies into main draw of Osaka Beach Volleyball Open

Becchara Palmer and Heike Jensen have advanced to the main draw of Japan’s Osaka Open after winning their two qualification matches.
The Aussies defeated Japan’s Osaki and Kusano with a convincing two sets to love victory (21-18, 21-14) in their opening hit out.
In the second round, the pair faced a tougher opponent in China’s pairing of Li Ying and 2004 Olympian L. Wang.
Palmer and Jensen dominated early, with Palmer serving solidly throughout the first set.
The Chinese came back strongly to win the second but Jensen produced some great sideout play in the third to help clinch the final set and win the match 2-1 (21-18, 15-21, 15-13).
The pair will come up against Germany's Banck and Gunther in Round 1 of the main draw.
