Canoeing - Slalom AIS athletes shine at ICF Slalom World Ranking Series

The ICF Slalom World Ranking Series wrapped up on 23 August in Tacen, Slovenia with some excellent results for AIS athletes.
Leanne Guinea claimed the gold medal in the women’s C1 event with Ros Lawrence taking the bronze.
Leanne collected another gold medal at the first race in Leipzig, Germany and also claimed bronze at the 2nd race in Bratislava Slovakia.
In the women’s K1 Sarah Grant took the silver medal in a final where all 3 senior AIS athletes were represented. The Lawrence sisters reached the finals in Bratislava as well with Kate claiming bronze.
The 3 race series was good race preparation ahead of the World Championships which commences in La Seu D’Urgell, Spain September 9.
