Cycling - Scholarships

Aspiring athletes are required to apply through their respective national training centre cycling program based at each state institute or academy of sport (SIS/SAS). Queries can also be directed to the AIS Cycling Program Coordinator.

Successful applicants need to have an outstanding record of achievements at state or national levels, and be assessed as having the potential to compete successfully at an international level.

Road Scholarships run from 1st January to 31st December. Applications are called for in November of each year from each SIS/SAS.

Track Scholarships run from 1st May to 30th April. Applications are called for in March of each year from each SIS/SAS.

AIS athletes are provided with professional coaching, access to training facilities, equipment, clothing, sports science, sports medicine, domestic and international travel, accommodation, food and assistance towards educational expenses. All athletes are encouraged and supported to pursue study while training and competing in their sport.
