Nathan Meade (1966-1987) was one of Australia's most promising divers. His dream of representing Australia at the Olympic Games was cut short when, in 1987, he died in a training accident.

The memorial scholarship is awarded annually to the AIS diver who best embodies Nathan's commitment to the pursuit of excellence in the sport of diving.
