Spencer Prior

Before turning his hand to coaching Westfield Matildas Assistant Coach, Spencer Prior, played a distinguished career in the UK playing over 500 matches including spells at Norwich City, Manchester City and hometown club Southend before hanging up his playing boots in 2007.
 
After retiring from football, Prior moved to Australia and soon found himself as a football analyst for Fox Sports News and as a coach for a number of teams at Sydney Grammar School, and was the Head Coach at Mosman Football Club in 2007 and 2008, leading to a significant improvement in the club's coaching capabilities.

Prior completed his coaching A-License over the 2008/09 period and on 1 January 2011 was confirmed as assistant coach of the Westfield Matildas, assistant to Head Coach Tom Sermanni.

Paul Jones

Paul was an AIS scholarship holder 1984-85.  He was an under 20 and under 23 Australia representative, playing in the 1985 Youth World Cup in Russia.  Returning to Australia after a successful World Youth Cup to sign with Marconi in the old national soccer league.

Appointed  to the position of AIS goalkeeping coach in 1987. Paul held the position of goalkeeper coach with the AIS men’s program for more than 20 years. Whilst holding this position Paul was also the national goalkeeper coach (1994-1997) with the Matilda’s on Tom Sermanni’s first stint as national team coach.

In 2005 Paul rejoined the AIS women’s program. During this time Paul’s role has grown to cover goalkeeper development for all the national women’s teams, Junior Matilda’s (under 17’s), Young Matilda’s and the senior national team, the Matilda’s.
Matilda’s goalkeeper coach for the 2006 and 2010 AFC Championship and a valued member of the coaching staff for the Matilda’s success 2007 Women’s World Cup campaign and Asian Cup win in 2010.
