Football - Women - Scholarships

AIS Women's Football scholarships are offered to players who are either senior national team members or players who have the potential to be so. In almost all cases, players will have progressed through one of the six national training centre programs to be identified as potential national team players.

AIS Women's Football scholarships are offered to selected players, with each scholarship period generally being six months.

With the program being camps-based, scholarship athletes travel to the AIS for training camps around 4-5 times per year and live and train in their home states for the remainder of the year.

AIS athletes are provided with elite coaching, access to facilities and equipment, sports medicine and sport sciences, travel, accommodation and meals during training camps. When in their home states, athletes train with their state institute/academy, under the guidance of the AIS/National Coach. All athletes are expected to study or work as well as to train and compete in their sport.
