Netball AIS loses to NSW Waratahs
22 Aug 2012
The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) have suffered a loss to the NSW Warratahs in the opening match of round three of the Australian Netball League (ANL) at Logan Metro Indoor Sports Complex going down 52- 47.
Both teams came out firing in the first quarter and this was reflected in tight quarter time scores with the Warratahs having only a slight lead after the first quarter 13-12.
AIS struggled on their centre pass but Kimberley Ravaillion in centre was a standout working hard to create options as well as defending hard on turnovers. She was a definite presence in the centre third for the entirety of the game.
In the final Quarter the AIS brought on their captain Brooke Miller to lift the team, which she did leading them in their best quarter of the game. Unfortunately the Waratahs proved too good though, eventually taking the game by five goals, 52 – 47.
