Netball - 2008 SOPA Cup Challenge Results - AIS Netball

The AIS Netball team recently competed in the 2008 SOPA Cup Challenge that was held in Sydney on 7 - 9th March. This pre-season tournament proved to be a great opportunity for the AIS athletes as they were competing against all ten teams that are playing in the inaugural 2008 ANZ Championships which commences in April.

 

The tournament proved succesful for the AIS team as they came away from the tournament with 3 wins, 3 loses and gaining some very valuable matchplay experience.

 

Results:

Game 1 - West Coast Fever 24 defeated AIS 21

Game 2 - AIS 25 defeated Northern Mystics  23

Game 3 - Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic 25 defeated AIS 10

Game 4 - AIS 20 defeated Canterbury Tactix 18

Game 5 - NSW Swifts 25 defeated AIS 23

Game 6 - AIS 27 defeated Southern Steel 21 

 

The AIS Netball next travels to Hamilton, New Zealand to compete in the Waipa Weekend Pre-season tournament 14 - 16th March.
