Netball Training
New recruits begin the year with a heavy emphasis on building their individual skill level. Court tactics are then introduced as teams prepare to compete.
In a typical week at the AIS, the players would be involved in the following sessions at the AIS facility:
- individual skill development - basic skills
- specialist session - court specific
- court work - team session
- match play
- shooting
- weight training
- agility - general and position specific
- proprioception
- pilates
- stretching
- self-massage
- recovery
- skills acquisition
- video self-analysis.
Training programs for juniors or beginners would be very different to this program. Ask your coach for a program suitable for your level.
