Squash Brown has chance for revenge

26 Mar 2009

AIS – SQUASH - Kasey Brown will have the chance to avenge her Australian Open final loss when she takes on Hong Kong’s Anne Au

in the quarter-finals of the Bukit Jalil International squash tournament in Malaysia on Thursday night.

Brown, from Taree in NSW, beat fellow Australian Lisa Camilleri AIS – SQUASH  in the first round on Wednesday to move into a quarter-final against Au.

Au won a thrilling Australian Open against Brown last August and the 23-year-old Australian will be looking for revenge in Bukit Jalil, the final tournament on the Malaysian circuit.

It was an otherwise disappointing day for the Australians, with Donna Urquhart, Amelia Pittock, Ryan Cuskelly AIS – SQUASH, Matthew Karwalski and Zac Alexander - AIS – SQUASH all falling to higher ranked opponents.

Pittock, Karwalski, Camilleri and Alexander all had to win two rounds of qualifying just to make the high quality main draw.
