Squash Brown bows out

06 Apr 2009

Kasey Brown bowed out of the Atwater Cup women’s squash tournament in Montreal when she went down in straight games to America’s world number two Natalie Grainger on Friday. Grainger, who reached number two this month, proved too good for a tired looking Brown, winning 11-3, 11-3, 11-4.

The loss ended Brown’s hopes of defending the title she won in Montreal in 2008.

Grainger later beat England’s Laura Lengthorn-Massaro in Saturday’s final 11-6, 11-9, 11-4.
