Shannon Rollason – Head Coach
Shannon joined the AIS Swim Team as a Senior Coach in January 2005. Shannon was formerly a competitive swimmer himself before turning to coaching in 1991. He is best known for his work with the Chandler Swim Club in Queensland where he guided 18 swimmers onto teams representing Australia.

Shannon’s impressive list of coaching achievements include taking Jodie Henry to three gold medals and a World Record in the 100m Freestyle at the Athens Olympic Games. At the same meet, Rollason coached Alice Mills to two Olympic Gold medals.


Vince Raleigh – Senior Coach

Vince Raleigh – Senior Coach
Vince joined the AIS Swim Team as a Senior Coach in January 2005. Prior to his arrival at the AIS he was founding coach of the Monash University’s Elite Swim Team in Melbourne and previously, head coach at the very successful Brothers Swim Club in Nudgee, Queensland. Vince has coached athletes onto Australian teams such as the Olympic Games and World Championships.

John Fowlie – Coach

John Fowlie – Coach
John joined the AIS Swim Team as a scholarship Coach in 2003 and has since graduated to take up a Coaching position. He was a member of the Australian coaching staff at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, 2005 World Championships and 2004 World Short Course Championships. John guided Jade Edmistone to four individual World Records including a Gold medal at the 2005 Montreal World Championships.
