Brent Larkham

Brent Larkham - AIS Pro Tour Head Coach

Head coach 

Former ATP player ranked 108 ATP. Former Coach of  W. ARTHURS  Ranked 44 ATP in singles and 10 in doubles. Brent has also coach  R.FROMBERG 24 ATP, T.LARKHAM 136 ATP, P. HANLEY and A.KRATZMANN  to top 20 and top 10 Doubles rankings.

Brent played at all levels on the tour , highlight being 3rd round of the AO in singles, and has spend more than 13 years coaching on the ATP Tour.

Both Brents parents were tennis coaches and ran a succcessful Tennis Center in Canberra for 25 years.

Brent is now heading the AIS PRO TOUR program since 2007 and helping out our best Australian athletes to fulfill their potential on the ATP/WTA tour. Past AIS scholarship athletes who have all reached career high rankings in the AIS/TA Program are C.GUCCIONE 67 ATP,P.LUCZAK 69 ATP,S.STOSUR 27 WTA,C.DELLACQUA  39 WTA, l J.GADJOSOVA 77.

This elite program is now based in Canberra at the Australian Institute of Sport.  Training bases are also in London, and Barcelona which have have been set up  to  support  younger  AIS athletes like B.KLEIN (DAVIS CUP 1st selection), Greg Jones, J.Moore, Olivia Rogowska etc. 


Anthony Lane

Anthony Lane -  Men`s Head Coach

Former ATP player ranked 235, Anthony  has spent  many years on ATP Tour as player and coach.

He has been involved  as a touring  coach with  Tennis Australia  before  heading  to  a private touring squad composed by  W.Arthurs 44 ATP, B.Larkham  108 ATP, T.Larkham 136 ATP and A.Kratzmann 299 ATP,

Former coach of C.Guccione he brought him to  his best ranking 67 ATP.

Anthony `s coaching strengths are mental and technical aspects of the game.
Anthony is now heading the AIS Men`s Program  and currently  working with G.Jones and A.Thomas.


David Taylor

David Taylor - Women`s Head Coach

Women`s head coach

Optus Australian Fed Cup Captain since 2007

Prior to coaching with the AIS David coached four top 15 players Martina Hingis, Alicia Molik, Maleeva, Ana Ivanovic.

He worked with Sam Stosur last year, bringing her ranking down from 140 to 39.


Chris Johnstone

Chris Johnstone - Women`s coach

Women`s coach

Former ATP  player  ranked  70 , Chris has been coaching  on  WTA and ATP  Tour since 1987.  

On the WTA  Tour  he has coached  3 top 20 players as  Gigi  Fernandez USA, Robin White USA and Catharina Linquist SWE   and on the ATP Tour, Wayne Ferreira  who reach his best ranking 6th.

His involvement last  year with Jarmilla Gadjosova, brought  her  from the 180Th WTA to  76th WTA.

This years, Chris is taking charge  in the AIS Pro Tour program  of O.Rogowska.


Milo Bradley

Milo Bradley  - Men`s coach

Men`s coach

Has been in charge  of the National Academy  in Perth ,  WA since 2001, and has  developed a program for players as Casey Dellacqua, Jessica Moore, Brittany Sheed, and  Brydan Klein.

National Coach and State Coach, Milo has  joined in  2008 , the AIS Pro Tour program and is Currently 2009 coaching Brydan Klein 188 ATP.


Paul Baccanello

Paul Baccanello - Men`s coach

Men`s coach

Paul retired prematurely from the tour at the beginning of 2007 due to a chronic knee injury having achieved a career hich ranking of ATP 129.

During his career Paul played in all the grand slams with wins over many of the world’s top players including Andy Murray and Fernando Verdasco.

Paul was a full AIS scholarship holder in 2006 and 2007.

Paul joined the AIS coaching staff at the end of 2007 and in 2008 was responsible for coaching Samuel Groth, Colin Ebelthite and Andrew Coelho all of whom achieved career high rankings under Paul’s guidance.

Paul is now coaching AIS athlete Andy Thomas.


Shannon Nettle

Shannon Nettle - Men`s coach

Men`s coach

Shannon (Stinga) has coached for the AIS Pro Tour Program for the last two and a half years.

During that time he has worked with the likes of Peter Luczak and Alun Jones.

Peter reached a career high ATP ranking of 69, during that time and Alun Jones a career high ATP ranking of 123.

Shannon is working with the likes of Maverick Banes, Ben Mitchell, Todd Volmari and Jarryd Chaplin throughout 2009.


William Wilkinson

William Wilkinson - Women`s coach

Women`s coach 

William has been involved on the WTA TOUR, since the past seven year.

He has been coaching Alexandra STEVENSON top 25 WTA ,and Akiko MORIGAMI  bringing her to a career high ranking of 41 in the world.

This years, William  is taking charge in the AIS Pro Tour program  of  Jarmila GROTH WTA 77.


Damian Prasad

Previous teams: Carlton Football Club, Holden motor racing team, London Tennis Academy, Australian Open Tennis Academy, Brent Larkham Professional Tennis Team, German Bundesliga Tennis Team Sundern.

Current Athletes: AIS Tennis Men and Women.


Ian Prangley

Ian Prangley - Strength and conditioning coach

Physiotherapist, Strength and Conditioning Coach

Graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree.  Also holds Graduate Certificates in Exercise Science and is completing a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy degree.  Also holds a TCA Advanced coaching degree and has coached in private academies in Brisbane and London. 

Worked privately as the physical trainer and physiotherapist for Wesley Moodie (former Top 100 singles and Wimbledon doubles champion) prior to joining the AIS in 2006.

Now works in a dual role for the AIS as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Physiotherapist.  Since 2008 he has been the official physiotherapist for the Australian Davis Cup team. 

In 2007-2008 was responsible for the physical conditioning of Chris Guccione and Peter Luczak who both achieved career high rankings during this time.  This year he is currently working with Brydan Klein, Sam Groth, Jess Moore, and Jarmilla Groth, in conjunction with their coaches.
