Volleyball - Coaches

Russell BorgeaudRussell Borgeaud was appointed as the Head Coach for the AIS/VTAM program in 2005. Russell was previously Assistant Coach of AIS/VTAM from 2002 - 2004, including the 2002 World Championships and the 2004 Olmypics. Before his appointment at the AIS, he was Head Coach of the Queensland Academy of Sport from 1994-2002. Russell also helped coach the National Junior Men's Team from 1995-1998. Russell is a former player who played 153 matches for Australia (1981 - 1991), captaining the team on 34 occasions.

 

Andrew StrugnellAndrew Strugnell is the Assistant Coach of the program since 2005. Andrew has been involved in the AIS/VTAM program since 1992 and in that time has coached hundreds of Youth and Junior internationals, as well as filling the roles, at various times, of VTAM assistant coach, Manager, trainer and/or statistician in over 13 years. He has recently been coaching in Sweden with professional club, Team Valla.
