Brainwaves

Brainwaves is an initiative launched by the Performance Psychology department to educate athletes, coaches and other psychologists about Performance Psychology and the services, research and development conducted by staff in the department. The first phase of this initiative was the development of informative tip sheets  for athletes and coaches.

There are currently 9 tip sheets available that have been specifically designed for athletes and provide information about psychological skills for sport like Goal Setting, Imagery and Injury Management.

These informative resources are now available online and can be downloaded and printed out by following the links below. Athletes and coaches can also pick them up from the SSSM Reception, Strength and Conditioning gymnasium and other locations around the AIS in Canberra.

The next phase of the initiative to be launched is Brainwaves E-news which is an online resource disseminating information, research findings, and practical strategies about using psychological skills at training and in competition to enhance performance.
