Associate Professor Kieran Fallon

Kieran Fallon is head of the department of Sports Medicine at the Australian Institute of Sport and associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the Australian National University.

Kieran holds an honours degree in medicine from the University of Sydney, a higher doctorate in medicine from the Australian National University and masters degrees in Higher Education, and Sport and Exercise Science. He is also a fellow of two medical colleges.

Kieran has been involved in the care of high performance athletes for over 15 years and his major research interests are the clinical biochemistry and haematology of elite-athletes and ultra-endurance sports.
