Sportex

A sporting experience like no other.

Sportex makes learning about sport fun and gives all of your students the chance to have a go.

In this fun, educational and interactive sports exhibition, students can try wheelchair basketball, football penalty shootouts, a rowing race, virtual downhill skiing or rock climbing!

Or they can jump on the gold, silver, bronze dais from the Sydney 2000 Olympics and see what it feels like to be an Olympic medallist!

Sportex complements the school curriculum in health and physical education. Three strands are particularly well illustrated: human movement, physical activity and community, and people and food.

Sportex displays and exhibits elite athletes, able-bodied and disabled athletes, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander athletes.

Sportex interactive and static displays and exhibits also include:

  • ball skills including accuracy and speed
  • reaction timer and strength machine
  • Sydney 2000 Olympics display
  • Heroes and Legends exhibit
  • sports science display.
