On Sunday, 10 May 2009 - Swim and Fitness at the AIS staff and members will be participating in Mother's Day Classic walk/run event.
On Sunday, 10 May 2009, Swim and Fitness at the AIS staff and members will be participating in Mother's Day Classic walk/run event.
The event, one of Australia's largest charity activities, attracted more than 67,000 participants nationwide and raised $1.2 million for its beneficiary, the National Breast Cancer Foundation last year.
Event details:
- Rond Terrace, Commonwealth Park.
- 5km run/walk or 10km run.
- This course follows the footpaths around the scenic Lake Burley Griffin.
- Runners will be charged an additional $3 for electronic timing. All runners must pay for timing. Walkers will not be timed.
