AIS Aquatic Centre wins Gold Star Aquatic Facility Safety Award
The Royal Life Saving Society of Australia (ACT Branch) held the ACT Water Safety Awards on Tuesday 26 February. The awards recognise individuals and organisations who have shown outstanding achievement in their specific fields as well as making a significant contribution to the aquatic industry in the ACT.
The AIS Aquatic Centre was awarded the Gold Star Aquatic Facility Safety Award for demonstrating the highest standard of safe pool operations in a recent audit conducted by the RLSS. Areas that were assessed included the general operations, emergency procedures, recordkeeping, first aid, plant room operations and chemicals, facility design, supervision and programming.
This award is a great reflection of the fantastic efforts of the entire AIS Aquatic Centre team and their commitment towards safety.
