Starting lessons
Enrolments
All new clients are required to book an assessment session. The assessment process takes approximately 45 minutes, this includes an overview of our policies and procedures and a pool facility tour. Also, part of the process is a practical assessment with a swim school instructor. This allows us to place swimmers into their appropriate skill level. You are required to bring swimwear, a towel and a swimming cap (swimming caps are compulsory).
To book an assessment, please contact us. The assessment is free, however, if you decide to accept a position following your assessment, you are required to pay the balance owed.
Fees
Fees are payable prior to the commencement of swimming lessons and enrolments will not be processed without payment. See the Fees section of this website for current fees.
Fees for school term sessions are for 10 week terms. Please ask at your assessment for information on our discounts. Payment facilities include cash, cheque, credit and EFTPOS.
Missed lessons
Please contact us prior to the start of your lesson if you plan to miss a lesson. You will receive a missed lesson pass, which is valid for three months and entitles four members of your immediate family to use the AIS aquatic facilities when opened to the public.
Changing days and times
Please contact us if you wish to change your current lesson day and time. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, any booking changes will be subject to class availability.
Level promotions
Our on deck supervisors are responsible for all level advancements during lessons. Supervisors will inform you of your child's promotion and issue you with a promotion card, which you are required to submit to reception who will assist you in registering into another class.
Supervisors are also available to assess your child at anytime to check on their progress. Please speak to one of our supervisors for assistance.
