Governing body
Motorsport Australia is the organisation recognised by government at all levels as the national controlling body for motorsport in Australia.
The first national body for motorsport in Australia, the Confederation of Australia Motor Sport (CAMS), was established in 1953. In 2020, CAMS changed its name to Motorsport Australia.1
