Accredited coaches

Accreditation as a coach is an important step in the coaching pathway. Increasing numbers of clubs and organisations require coaches to be accredited with the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) to be appointed to coaching positions. As a NCAS accredited coach, you have demonstrated a standard of competence and have agreed to a code of behaviour. Accredited coaches receive a range of benefits, including discounts on various workshops and ASC publications, and access to e-newsletters and information. Coaches in some sports also receive a coach identification card, and sport specific benefits.

Maintaining and developing your coaching skills is important as an accredited coach. In this section of the website you will find information on keeping your accreditation current, ethics and responsibilities, as well as access to the online sports coach magazine and the NCAS database.

For information on undertaking further training visit ‘Access to training and courses’ and ‘More information’ for articles and resources that may assist you in your coaching.
