Catalogue and databases

The National Sport Information Centre (NSIC) provides online access to the following databases for locating information on sport.

 

  • NSIC Catalogue lists books, reports, videos/dvds, and Australian articles on sport. There are approximately 75,000 records listed in the catalogue. Also it lists research and other articles published by Australian Institute of Sport sport science staff. 
  • SportScan Article Database lists journal articles from over 300 journals received by the NSIC. There is an emphasis on overseas articles from an applied sport research viewpoint. The database holds over 20,000 articles. Latest Update of SportScan Articles 
  • SPORTDiscus Database should be utilised for comprehensive searches on sport. This database is generally accessible through sport or major university libraries.
