The National Sport Information Centre houses Australia 's premier sports collection. The collection was started in 1982, and has limited historical information before this date.

Information resources managed:
- 16,000 books - available on inter-library loan from local libraries
- 5,000 videos - available on inter-library loan or through the sports video library
- 300 current journal titles. Major Australian sports journals are collected
- annual reports from national sports organisations are collected where available and can be accessed online through the Australian Sport Publications Archive
- 4,000 permanently archived electronic documents published in Australia and can be accessed online through the Australian Sport Publications Archive
