More about this document

The Australian Sports Commission with funding from Coca-Cola South Pacific engaged the University of South Australia in December 2003 to conduct research to provide an understanding of the factors influencing young peoples involvement in sport and physical activity and the promotion of the positive benefits of lifelong involvement in organised sport. It is envisaged that the results of this research based on responses from 4,661 South Australian children aged between 9-15 years, contributes to the development of effective strategies to address the growing problem of childhood obesity and increasing sedentary behaviour.
