Accredited officials

Accreditation as an official is an important step in the officiating pathway. Increasing numbers of organisations require officials to be accredited with the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS) in order to be appointed to officiating positions. As an accredited official, you have demonstrated that you meet a standard of competence, and have agreed to a code of behaviour. Accredited officials receive a range of benefits, including discounts on various workshops and ASC publications, and access to online information. Officials in some sports will also receive an identification card, and sport specific benefits.

As an accredited official you should be aware of the importance of maintaining and developing your officiating skills.
