The AIS senior boxing team has competed in Sardinia against an Italian B team.

Wins went to Andrew Maloney (51kg), Qamil Balla (64kg) and Mostyn Niemann (91kg)

A draw was awarded to Ibrahim Balla (57kg) and Steve Lovett (81kg), while Mark Basile (69kg) lost in a controversial bout.

Luke Boyd (54kg) and Kane Cassells (Gruer) (60kg) had already returned home to Australia, so did not box.

The team now heads to Germany, via Varese (Italy), for a training camp with German and Russian atheletes, and the AIS development team.
