About the Calendar

The Australian Sports Calendar is an up-to-date calendar of sporting events and sports related conferences. The events listed include:

  • National, regional and state championships held in Australia
  • National leagues held in Australia i.e. AFL, NRL, NBL, WNBL etc
  • Major competitions for over 100 sports played in Australia
  • Major multi-sport events held in Australia and overseas i.e. Olympic Games, Masters Games etc
  • Major competitions held overseas of interest to Australians i.e. world championships, world cups etc

The Calendar allows searches to be restricted to specific sports, cities, states, countries, types of competitions, conferences and major events.

The Calendar is maintained and updated by the National Sport Information Centre (NSIC) at the Australian Sports Commission. The NSIC can create specific reports if required - charges may apply.

All the information in the Australian Sport Calendar was correct at the time of data entry. The NSIC updates events on a regular basis but major updates are undertaken in June and December each year. It should be noted that events are often changed because of sponsorship or media commitments and/or venue suitability. For confirmation please contact the appropriate national sporting organisation.
