AIS trialling athlete Angie Blackburn has won a bronze medal at the world junior athletics championships.
Anchoring the 4x400m relay team, Blackburn showed she is destined for higher honours by producing a brilliant last 400m.
In a strong run to the line Blackburn hit the line just three-hundredths of a second behind the second-placed Ukrainian runner.
Blackburn’s 51.8 second split saw the Australians secure a much deserved bronze medal.
