The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) today advised it had removed swine flu quarantine measures.

Following the latest advice issued by Health Minister Nicola Roxon yesterday, the AIS quarantine policy is no longer required under the new ‘protect’ phase of the H1N1 Influenza 09 response.

The AIS has returned to business as usual and all previously announced measures are lifted.

This means there is now:

  • no ban on athletes or staff travelling to Victoria
  • no seven-day quarantine period for athletes or staff who have been in Victoria
  • no restrictions on groups visiting the AIS.

AIS Director Peter Fricker thanked the community for its cooperation with the AIS swine flu response.
