Australian cyclists gear up for UCI Track World Cup event in Melbourne

The Australian team has been named for the second round of the 2009–10 UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics, which will take place at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne from 19 to 21 November 2009.

The team will be gearing up to compete in a full range of events, including the men’s and women’s 500 and 1000-metre time trials; the team and individual sprint and pursuit; and the madison, points, keiren and scratch races.

AIS cyclists Belinda Goss, Anna Meares and Kaarle McCulloch will be looking to continue their success after claiming two gold medals in the opening round of the series, which took place in Manchester, England, from 30 October to 1 November.
