Mc HUGH - BOEHM AUSTRALIA defeated SPAIN Mesa - Lario 2 - 0 (21 - 17, 34 - 32)
The Aussies won an epic 2nd set (34 - 32) against the Spanish combination of Raul MESA (2008 Olympian, Gold Medallist Kristiansand 2008 and Former Junior World Champion) and Inocencio LARIO (Silver Medallist Stare Jablonki 2008 and Former Junior World Champion). McHugh - Boehm had a very strong sideout game through the match. McHugh got an ace at 32-32 and a kill block at 33-32 to finish off the set and the match. The straight set victory over the talented Spaniards ensured McHugh & Boehm qualified for their second Main Draw tournament of the season.

Palmer - Jensen AUSTRALIA  defeated JAPAN Urata - Kusuhara              2 - 1 (21 - 16, 19 - 21, 15 - 8)
Australia's Number 1 Women's team of Becchara Palmer and Heike Jensen won their way through to the Main Draw tournament with a solid victory over Japan's Number team in the Korean capital. The Aussies will compete in their 3rd consecutive Main Draw tournament after a 7th in China and a 17th last week in Japan.
