AIS netballers ready to take on minor premiers
The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) will meet the NSW Waratahs in the Australian Netball League semi final to be played at the Waverley Netball Centre in Melbourne on Saturday.
The AIS, who have finished runners up in the past two ANL grand finals, are looking to go one better and claim their first champion’s title.
The Waratahs claimed the minor premiership and title favoritism after finishing on top of the ladder for the first time in the competition’s three-year history.
With the top four teams only separated by one game at the end of the home and away season the stage is now set for some thrilling netball.
The second semi-final will be played between the reigning ANL champions Victoria Fury and Queensland Fusion.
The winners of both semi-finals will meet in Sunday’s grand final.
