The final Commonwealth Games selection trial for boxing was held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra yesterday.  The winners from each of the bouts has been nominated to the Australian Commonwealth Games Association for inclusion into the Australian team to compete in New Delhi in October.

49kg – Andrew Moloney (VIC) defeated Dylan Perkins* (NSW) Referee Stopped Contest, Injury Round 2
52kg – Jason Moloney (VIC) defeated Jared Woods (WA) 12:0
56kg – Ibrahim Balla (VIC) defeated Luke Boyd* (NSW) 19:6
60kg – Luke Jackson (TAS) defeated Mark Pevinsky (WA) 9:0
64kg – Luke Woods (TAS) defeated Callum Cassidy (WA) 3:2
69kg – Cameron Hammond* (NSW) defeated Jesse Ross (QLD) 9:1
75kg – Damien Hooper* (QLD) defeated Zac Dunn (NSW) 10:3
81kg – Dane Mulivai (QLD) defeated Brendan Scally (WA) 8:2
91kg – John Squillace* (WA) defeated Jason Whateley (VIC) 6:3
91+kg – Alexey Mukhin* (ACT) defeated Jeff Taylor (QLD) 5:1

All athletes are current AIS scholarship holders.  The * athletes are also part of the NTID program.
